Yes, the software is freely available for download on our downloads page.
-
Yes, both the electronics and sensors are compliant, and the certificates are available on our downloads pag.

The SingleTact Quick Start Guide has detailed information about how to get started with SingleTact sensors, including the pin configuration and experimental setup.
We have also made a simple guide on How to Create a Force Sensitive Pad or Switch, which can help you integrate SingleTact products into your project.
-
Double sided tape is recommended. A very thin tape is preferable, so that it does not interfere with sensor performance.
For further information please check out our Mounting Methods and Best Practices page.
-
SingleTact has been tested to a million cycles.
-
A calibrated sensor has higher accuracy and a linear output curve, however calibration data is stored on the electronics, therefore the electronics cannot be used with any other sensor. For more information, go to our SingleTact Product Selector page, select any size, any pressure range, and then click on the informational “Should I order a calibrated sensor?” button.
-
Yes, we can design custom sensors for you, however a minimum order value of £/$40,000 is required due to manufacturing costs. Please contact us to discuss your project.

Check the pin configuration. To check that the Arduino is working properly with SingleTact, follow the steps in the SingleTact User Manual, Section 4.2 (Programming the Arduino UNO with SingleTact Example). Please make sure you have followed the current steps as well:
Go to Tools –> Board –>Arduino UNO
Go to Tools –>Port –> COM(X) (Connected with Arduino)

The available SingleTact datasheet gives possible sensor connections and the expected capacitance range. For your application, you need to read the capacitance value. You need some form of analogue front-end (SingleTact electronics or equivalent) to convert capacitance to voltage or a digital output.
